Well where do i start ben (thats who he was know as)he loved baking ,and making cakes for all occasions ,ben made me a cake for my 30th birthday it was a love heart shape with my picture on it, what a suprise that was .He was on our community commitee group for many years he done an excellent job as a treasurer he was well trusted and well loved man by all the community. He loved been involved in the community ,i joined the community development group and we went to alot of conferences but the one i remember most was when i took him to a night club
(yes you read that right a night club)what a laugh that was.The morning he passed away my heart broke in 2 ,as did his familys his wife thelma was deverstated she didnt know how to tell me as ben was close to me his wife thelma and daughter christine and son stephen ,grandchildren kelly,christopher,gemma,stuart miss him deeply as do the great grandchildren grace and thomas and his daughter in law norma,and son in law david. Ben ment the world to me and more i miss him deeply, R.I.P. MY GENTLE BEN XXXXXXXX

to my grandad, a man who made my family what it is today. his love for his family was unconditional, he always had a open door for anyone who needed it.
the day he was taken - i was leaving for work when grandma called said grandad has gone and ambulance was there i started crying holding onto chris. he took the kids to school i went straight to grandmas house. nev was there to meet me and he just shook his head. i rang in saw the ambulance crew there was nothing they could of done. i went to see grandad he was gone - i wanted to hug him but i couldnt. i went to grandma, and hugged her. i called my dad he was on his way to scotland. my grandad was moved and placed in his bed as my mum would be coming and i didnt want her to see him in that way.
i didnt know what to say to her when she got there her world to stopped.
the days just rolled into one after that - the funeral was over too quickly then it was as if you have to get back to your life before it happened.
I miss you so much i miss the marzipan smell you always had from the cakes. your stories you told all the time. we way you loved everyone your open heart.
Grandma misses you so deeply im so proud of the way she went ahead with the operation after you died, and the way she is coping without you.
We all wanted time to say goodbye but at least you didnt suffer.
Until we meet again grandad - i love you always xxx
